Where can the pass be used?

The Cumbria Travel Pass can be used on any Northern, Avanti West Coast or Transpennine Express trains, Stagecoach buses and Windermere Day Cruises Below shows the boundaries of our network.

Boundaries: The County of Cumbria – Northern, TransPennine & Avanti services within Cumbria (Lancaster<>Carlisle via both Barrow-in-Furness and Penrith, including services Oxenholme to Windermere), Stagecoach Bus services within Cumbria (excluding school buses), plus the Lakes Day Cruises on Windermere for a half lake cruise or full lake single only.

Features
  • Allows you to explore the County of Cumbria by public transport. Trains – Northern, Avanti West Coast and Transpennine Express, Bus – Stagecoach services and Boat – Windermere Day Cruises.
  • As well as unlimited travel, your travel pass gives you access to exclusive discounts on:
    • Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway
    • Coniston Launch
    • Boat rides on:
      • Derwentwater with Keswick Launch
      • Ullswater with Ullswater Steamers
  • Available for travel any time of the day.
  • Children 5-15 pay half the Adult fare. Children under 5 travel free and do not need a ticket.
Eligibility

No restrictions.

Discounts
  • Children (ages 5-15) get up to 50% off the regular adult fare. Children under 5 travel free and do not need a ticket when they share a seat with an adult.
Pass Activation
  • After purchase you’ll receive an email with a link to activate your Cumbria Travel M-Pass and select your travel dates. Your travel dates must be within 11 months of the purchase date.

  • Activate your pass when your travel dates are confirmed. You cannot make changes or get a refund after activation.

Pass Delivery
  • Once you’ve activated your Cumbria Travel M-Pass, you’ll receive another email with the pass attached as a PDF file.

  • Before you travel download this M-Pass directly to your mobile phone.

  • You will need to show the M-Pass on your phone to station, on-train staff , and bus and boat operatives on request. Printouts are not accepted. You must also show valid photo ID.

Refunds
  • The Cumbria M-Pass is non-refundable once the lead passenger clicks on “Activate” on the activation website.
  • You can apply for a refund, subject to a £10 administration fee, for the unused (un-activated) M-Pass cancelled by us before the date of travel.
  • Partial refunds are not permitted.
  • To apply for a refund contact ACP Rail International at info@acprail.com and quote your transaction ID number (PNR).
